Later, he was elected to the assembly twice from Bindki, receiving honors from various social and government sectors at different times.

- On 7th May 2011, he reported extensively and diligently on the violent clash between police and farmers in Bhatta Parsaul, Greater Noida, over a land acquisition dispute. His coverage raised national awareness about farmers’ issues and compelled political leaders to address their concerns.
- Between 24th April 2011 and 28th April 2011, Alok Dwivedi accompanied the Honorable President Smt. Pratibha Patil on a trip to Mauritius, showcasing glimpses of Indian culture through Sahara Time Channel and Indian Sahara Newspaper.
- In May 2008, he extensively covered the sensational ‘Arushi Hathyakand,’ the country’s biggest murder mystery, for 2.5 months on Sahara India TV Channel. His live news coverage garnered widespread fame among viewers.
